Polarfest has officially been cancelled. The folks responsible have left a message on the Polarfest website indicating that poor ticket sales and Samiam's cancellation forced their hands.

Performers Samiam and Horace Pinker announced their pulling out of the fest earlier this week amongst complaints regarding the organizing of the festival. The finalized lineup for Polarfest featured the aforementioned bands plus Further Seems Forever, the Queers, the Beautiful Mistake, Against All Authority, Choke and Break The Silence. Originally, both Moneen and the Weakerthans were mentioned as playing, as well, but later drafts of the lineup had both bands absent.
