1-2-3-4 Go! have announced their plans for an upcoming tribute to The Replacements. While a hard date has not been set, the label is aiming for a summer release. They had this to say about the project:

Against Me!, This is My Fist, Whiskey Sunday, Drag The River, The Obsoletes, The Tim Version, North Lincoln, Thomas Barnett/Rob Huddleston (Holy shit! Inquisition semi-reunion sort of but not really!), Hi Ho Six Shooter, Off With Their Heads and The Modern Machines have already recorded and turned in their songs. There's a whoooole lot of other people who are recording in the next month or two but I'm not one to count chickens before they hatch. Well I am, but I'm trying not to. This is obviously going to be fucking amazing.

The Replacements formed in 1979 and released seven albums. The band, along with Hüsker Dü and Soul Asylum helped define the then fledgling Minneapolis punk rock scene with its distinctive and influential sound.
