Jay Reatard, the garage punk behind notable acts like Lost Sounds and The Reatards, has signed to Matador Records according to Pitchfork.

For his debut, Jay will be releasing six singles in 2008. The label is aiming for a March debut, but will be releasing each successive single on an increasingly limited basis. That is, they will be pressing many more of the first single than the last one of the set. However, before you camp out in front of eBay, the label will eventually be compiling the singles into a proper CD.

Reatard has also been tapped to provide support for The Black Keys
