No one's sure why the Great White North named their music award after a city in Alaska, or why last year's quirky indie movie was named after the award, but the nominees for Canada's 2008 Juno Awards have been posted.

Bands of interest to this site include The Arcade Fire, Tegan And Sara, Bedouin Soundclash, Feist, The Saint Alvia Cartel, Neil Young, and some of you might be totally stoked that Michael Buble is up for a nice slew of awards.
