Sometime yesterday or the day before, singer song writer Leonard Cohen passed away, at age 82. Cohen's family made the announcement last night via Cohen's facebook. His family stated that there will be a private service. Cohen released his latest album, You Want It Darker last month. You can see the statement below.

It is with profound sorrow we report that legendary poet, songwriter and artist, Leonard Cohen has passed away.
We have lost one of music’s most revered and prolific visionaries. A memorial will take place in Los Angeles at a later date. The family requests privacy during their time of grief.
