We are pleased to bring to you a Punknews Exclusive premiere for Floridian punks Protagonist. The track is called “Generation Lost" and it is apart of their The Chronicle sessions. The track will be available on September 20th, 2019 on streaming services, and for purchase through their bandcamp page. The proceeds from their merch sales in October and November will be donated to Al Otro Lado. Al Otro Lado‘s Border Rights Project hosts know-your-rights training and legal orientation workshops in migrant shelters in Tijuana, Mexico, and provides direct legal representation to detained asylum seekers in Southern California. The program also documents human rights violations. See below to check out the new track and a quote from the band on the track.

It is a call to action. A call to care about the world around you and the other souls that inhabit it. It is a long song; one of the longest songs we ever wrote. Generation Lost is an early Protagonist song. It predates our 1st demo tape. Its in the the 1st lyric notebook. Like its sibling “The Killing Fields,” released in July, when we recorded “Generation Lost,” we believed or even knew that it would appear on our second LP, The Chronicle. That did not come to pass. During the early-mid aughts it was regularly played live. It is now yours.
