Stereotyperider chucks the syrupy guitars into the wastebasket and picks up a shrill, chiming tone that splits the difference between modern post–hardcore acts and the gutsy boom of the So–Cal acts that used to make up the Epitaph roster in the mid–â90s. That said, Stereotyperider could still lay a whuppinâ on nearly every pop–punk act out there these days. Whether it blasts with a sparring pair of guitars that attack each other with rusty hooks or go wild with sweaty, nervous caffeine–addicted riffs. Stereotyperider are an anomaly in todays punk rock scene, as they care more about the music than fashion sense or hipster posturing. In a perfect world they would be commended for following their hearts and not what everyone else is doing.
