My Chemical Romance, Nine Inch Nails, Paramore, Elvis Costello, Gogol Bordello and other have been confirmed for this year's Summer Sonic Festival. Testival takes place in Tokyo and Osaka between August 7 and 9.

Other notable bands include Boys Like Girls, Cancer Bats, CSS, Girl Talk, Enter Shikari, Klaxons, Mando Diao, Mastadon, Mew, Mogwai, , Saosin, Sonic Youth, Teenage Fanclub, The Flaming Lips, The Specials, Aphex Twin, Mute Math, The Vaselines and others.
