Contributed by aubin, Posted by Kira Wisniewski 10 years ago

Coinciding with his directorial debut of his film Sound City at the Sundance Festival this month, it has been announced that Dave Grohl is also organizing the debut performance of the Sound City Players. The members of this supergroup are not entirely clear, as it is described as a gathering of "core musicians and special guests" from the documentary.

The film features Frank Black, Rivers Cuomo, Krist Novoselic, Trent Reznor, Pat Smear, Josh Homme, and many more. The performance is scheduled for January 18 at Park City Live.
