Hamilton, Ontario music venue Club Absinthe and Hello Cannabis, the newly opened Hamilton-based Medical Cannabis Education Centre, have partnered to launch an awareness and fundraising campaign dubbed #GoodbyeOpioids. They'll kick things off with an event featuring Toronto punk mainstays The Flatliners on April 20. On Monday Toronto art-punk group Weaves are headed to Niagara to play the Warehouse Concert Hall in support of their critically acclaimed sophomore full-length for Buzz Records, Wide Open. The band will be supported by local groups Fourth Way and Eleven. As this show is a co-presentation between IndoorShoes and the Punknews-adjacent Canadian music newsletter Some Party, we're giving away some tickets and schwag. Pennywise will be touring in Canada this March, and they're taking fellow veteran California punk act Strung Out along for a number of the shows. Less Than Jake recently announced an east coast tour with Four Year Strong, Direct Hit! and Bearings. That tour will bring the band through Toronto where they'll play the Phoenix Concert Theatre on February 21.
